FAITH FORMATION/MINISTRY NEWS
Faith Formation Classes will not be held this weekend or next weekend as we celebrate the Nativity of the Lord and the Solemnity of Mary. Classes will resume on January 6, 2019.
Baptismal Instruction –The next class will be held on Monday, January 7th at 7PM in the church hall. If you are expecting or recently had a baby, please call the rectory office to register for this class
New Ministry Schedule: we will begin working on the new ministry schedule for February/March. If there is a particular weekend you do not wish to be scheduled, please contact the rectory office by January 10th.
2018 Financial Statements
We will “close our books” for the year 2018 on Monday, January 7th. If you wish to ‘catch up’ on any contributions you may have missed, please do so before that date. Anyone wishing to receive a Statement of Contributions for 2018 is asked to add their name to the sign-up sheet in the church vestibule. Contributions to the parish are tax deductible. Statements will be mailed at the end of January. Your contributions to the Diocesan Annual Appeal are not included in the personal parish statement of contributions. The Diocesan Appeal Office will mail acknowledgement of your contributions.
Effective January 1, 2019, the price for cemetery plots at St. John’s, St. Anthony’s and Sts. Cyril & Methodius will increase to $800 each (perpetual care included). Monthly payments can be made over a 24 month period. Contact Charles Prohaska, Cemetery Supervisor at 570-760-7920.
