Vesele Velikononce!  A Blessed Easter!    Wesolego Alleluja!  A Blessed Easter!

Weekly Bulletin – PDF | Ministry Schedules

Prayerful Sympathy is extended to the families of our parish family members, Mary Barto and Claire Hatrak, and Pat Matlock, sister of our parish family member, Sandy Duda. Please remember Mary, Claire and Pat in prayer, along with their family and friends, during this difficult time of loss, pain and adjustment.

The Paschal Candle

The Easter (Paschal) Candle symbolizes Christ as the Light of the World. It stands in the sanctuary throughout the days of Easter until Ascension Thursday, reminding us of the risen Christ, the  true light which enlightens every person who comes into the world.

This year’s Paschal Candle is donated by Connie Pastula for our Parish Family to give Praise and Glory to God.

Coming Soon: “Resurrection” to the kneelers in our pews!

Little White Books for Easter are available in the church vestibule. Please take home a complimentary copy.

Deepest Prayerful Gratitude to each and everyone who made Passion Play 2018 “Relics of the Passion” a beautiful, educative and meditative experience – ditto to all who provided refreshments and fellowship… so many wonderful and encouraging comments by all who attended! Ditto Ditto to all who delivered flowers to our homebound this past week! “Spot on!” & “Double Thumbs Up!”

The tomb is not a blind alley, it is a thoroughfare. It closed on the twilight, it opens on the dawn.

CRS Rice Bowl: Encounter the Risen Christ

We prayed, fasted and gave alms – and now we celebrate Easter joy! Our Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl ends as we encounter our Risen Lord. We reflect on our brothers and sisters we have walked with, and we commit to bringing Easter joy to each person we meet in our daily lives. Please return your Rice Bowl next weekend to our church vestibule. If you wish, a check may be written to St. John’s; please write Rice Bowl on an envelope before dropping in the collection basket or sending to the rectory office. Thank you for your generosity.
