“It is not said that after keeping God’s commandments, but in keeping them, there is great reward. God has linked these two things together and no man can separate them - obedience and peace.

Prayer on Memorial Day
Lord Jesus Christ, today we honor the memory of those men and women who gave their all in the cause of freedom. They worked, fought and died for the heritage of freedom, brotherhood, and honor that they have passed on to us.
Help us to recall that you gave up your life for the true freedom of all human beings. Teach us the meaning of peace and the real battle that must take place in ourselves before it will be won in families and nations. Make us keep your memory in our celebration of communion and pray for the peace and freedom of the whole world.

Parish Mission Statement
Our faith community of St. John the Baptist, founded on the word of God; welcomes all with charity and love….both the strong of Spirit and those who search. As part of the Universal Church, we acknowledge that God has uniquely blessed everyone with abundant gifts. We celebrate the differences that make all of us equal in the eyes of the Lord….using our blessings to provide all who join us in Eucharist with a heart-felt sense of family and communion. For the Lord has brought you to our door….you are a stranger here but once.
